Case Study: Gisborne large slip
A large slip came down at Makorori beach, blocking one lane on SH35. Onsite soil types: erodible clays, low organic matter.
To support long-term vegetation growth, we used Soil Blanket to supply essential nutrients.
We then applied Hydro mulch to provide stabilisation while the grass germinated and vegetation succession was underway.
Despite two cyclones and several rain events with a 15mm/hour intensity occurring four weeks after the applications, the site displayed no indications of sediment displacement, erosion, or turbidity.
