Stabi-Mulch
Stabi-Mulch is New Zealand’s only locally made hydro mulch — a powerful, all-in-one spray-on solution that instantly controls erosion, locks in moisture, and accelerates lush vegetation growth faster than traditional methods.

How It Works
Stabi-Mulch is applied as a slurry using hydroseeding equipment, delivering a fast, efficient erosion control and revegetation system in one step:
-
Slurry Application
A mix of water, NZ-made wooden fibre mulch, grass seed, fertiliser, and a binding agent is sprayed directly onto bare or disturbed soil.
-
Instant Bonding
Upon contact, the slurry forms a permeable crust that adheres to the soil — locking it in place and protecting it from wind and rain.
-
Erosion Control Begins Immediately
The mulch layer shields the surface from dust, water runoff, and topsoil loss, stabilising the site from day one.
-
Moisture Retention & Seed Germination
With the ability to hold 13.78 times its weight in water, Stabi-Mulch keeps the soil damp, creating ideal conditions for seed growth.
-
Fast, Healthy Vegetation
The result: strong, even grass strike — up to 80% faster than conventional methods — with long-lasting erosion control benefits.

Immediate Erosion Control
Immediate erosion control within 4 hours of application, significantly reducing the risk of sediment run-off and erosion. Meaning cost savings and significantly reduced risk
Faster Grass Strike
Holding 13 times its weight in water Stabi-Mulch provides an excellent growing environment for the seed, encouraging a fast grass strike and long-term stabilization via vegetation cover. Even just a 40% grass strike can reduce sediment run-off by up to 70& when compared to bare soil.
No Weed Contamination
Stabi-Mulch is thermally refined, meaning the only seeds introduced to sites are the certified seed blends added to the slurry.
Dust Control
As soon as Stabi-Mulch is applied there is no risk of dust issues from this site as the mulch creates a strong crust with the surface particles, stopping them from coming air born.
